(Rice Cake Soup)

Chef Kim SeokJin Recipe 

Ingredients:

  • 1 Pack of Your Choice of Beef Cut

  • 1 Teaspoon of Sesame Seed

  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon of Sugar

  • 2 Pinches of Salt 

  • 1 Pinch of Black Pepper

  • 1/2 Tablespoon of Crushed Garlic

  • 1 Green Onion 

  • 1 Pack of Sliced Rice Cake

  • 1 Egg

  • 1 Pack of Beef Bone Broth

Instructions:

  1. Soak the Rice Cake in cold water for 30 minutes. Then drain the water.

  2. In a bowl, add the Beef, Sesame Seed, Sugar, Salt, Black Pepper and Crushed Garlic. Mix them all together and leave it to marinate for few minutes.

  3. Cut the Green Onion into small slices.

  4. Prepare a Pot and add the Beef Bone Broth with the Green Onion.

  5. Once the Broth starts to boil, add the Rice Cakes and leave it to cook until it starts boiling again. Then your Soup is ready.

  6. While the Soup is boiling. In a Frying Pan, add some Vegetable Oil and start cooking the Beef until it’s fully cooked. 

  7. Separate the Egg Yolk and White and fry them separately in a Pan. Once they are cooked, cut them into strips for garnish.

  8. In a serving bowl, add the Soup and on top of it add the Beef, Egg Strips and some Green Onion for garnish.
